Job Description

Duties will include:
• Supporting the Catering Manager in all of his roles
• Planning menus (consulting with the Catering Manager); estimating food costs and profits, and adjusting menus.
• Controlling costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; overseeing stock levels; ordering supplies; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparation.
• Achieving operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; implementing and improving production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits.
• Accomplishing human resource objectives by training, scheduling, supervising, appraising, and disciplining employees; enforcing policies and procedures and preparing staffing reports.
• Greeting and advising customers, taking reservations, handling complaints.
• Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and licensing.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

• Chef experience is essential
• Certificate in Food Safety Level 2+ is desirable
