CONSERVATION PROJECTS

Bringing wildlife closer to home

Our wild work and values see us working together with like-minded conservation partners towards the preservation of native species both at home and overseas.

We’re growing! Did you know as part of our commitment to the future of native species we are taking part in captive breeding programmes for both red squirrels and field mouse families!

As part of our ongoing native wildlife conservation work, we also regularly undertake butterfly counts and wildflower planting to attract and support pollinating insects alongside the building of bird boxes and bird ringing across our sites.

Working in partnership overseas ... the butterfly house is an amazing educational asset to the park for all to enjoy but it also supports two in-situ sustainable butterfly farming faitrade conservation projects for local commnities in the Phillipines and Costa Rica by enabling farmers to breed butterflies for a sustainable income.

You're saving the rainforest one cup of coffee at a time! Did you know that by purchasing a cup of Puro fairtrade tea or coffee here at the park you have helped us save over 4.98 acres of rainforest to date - that's over 13,239 trees.
