Hours:

Hours will vary between the hours of 9am - around 5pm, working on a rota basis, on a zero hour contract. Shifts will include weekends.

Job Description

Duties will include:

  • General catering duties e.g. preparing food, cooking, clearing tables, pot washing and cleaning
  • Greeting and advising customers
  • Cash handling
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

- Cook

Hours:

16 - 24 hours per week. Various hours available from asap until 4th November 2019.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be working as a cook within the Catering Department, on a fixed term contract until 4 November 2019, hours will vary. Minimum age of applicants is 16 years old.

Duties will include:

  • Planning menus (consulting with the Catering Manager); estimating food costs and profits, and adjusting menus.
  • Controlling costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; overseeing stock levels; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparation.
  • Cooking quality homemade food for the centres visitors each day
  • Allergen control and monitoring, keeping allergen menu folder up to date and devise speciality dishes free from allergens
  • Greeting and advising customers, taking reservations, handling complaints.
  • General cleaning duties
  • Staff supervision
  • Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and licensing.
  • Liaising with the catering manager regarding the Organising of marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements

  • Organisational skills
  • Chef experience is essential
  • Knowledge of the use of Rational Ovens is desirable
  • Certificate in Food Safety Level 2+ is desirable
  • Certificate in First Aid is desirable

- Part Time Barista

Hours:

Term Time/Low Season - 16 - 24 hours per week, over 2 - 3 days. Includes weekends

High Season/School Holidays - 3 - 5 days per week.

Pay:

Meets National Minimum Wage.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be working as a Barista within the Catering Department at Lottie’s Coffee Lounge. Minimum age of applicants is 16 years old.

Duties will include:

  • Make and serve specialty beverages
  • Greeting and advising customers, cash handling
  • General catering duties e.g. preparing food
  • Cleaning, and following health and safety guidelines
  • Any other duties as reasonably required
Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible working
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Communication skills
  • Some Barista experience & knowledge around coffee desirable
  • Knowledge of epos system desirable however full training will be given
  • Certificate in Food Safety is desirable however full training will be given
