- Car Park and Play Park Assistant

Hours: To be agreed

The Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife & Falconry Centre has an exciting job opportunity available. The successful applicant will be working as a Car Park/ Play Park Attendant on a zero-hour, fixed term contract from immediate effect until 30th September 2020, hours will vary.

Applicants must be able to work weekends.

Applicants will be required to take a multiple-choice health & safety questionnaire during the interview.

The job offer is subject to taking and passing a CITB health & safety environment test on appointment, failure may result in the job offer been withdrawn.

Hours of work

The hours of work will be conditional on the business requirements & the contract will be conditional on your agreement to work flexible hours or no hours if necessary.

Hours/Days will vary between the centre's opening and closing times of 8am-5.30pm Monday – Sunday.

(Please note: these times are subject to change, if required to meet the business needs during high and low season)

Interview Date:

  • We are holding a recruitment evening on Thursday 17th of October from 4.30pm until 6pm. Applicants must email to notify in advance of attendance with an attached CV and cover letter.
  • Noted attendees are welcome to arrive at any time between the above hours, please head to Lottie's Coffee Lounge upon arrival.
  • Please note that you may be required to attend a trial day.

Job Description

Job Specification:

  • Duties will include:
  • Path Blowing (am)
  • Disinfecting and cleaning of picnic tables and chairs
  • Car Park /Play Park Attending
  • General Cleaning duties around the centre and litter picking
  • Any other duties as reasonably required to meet the business needs
