We  are delighted to announce we will be reopening on Monday 12 April 2021.

Please read the following guidelines about what to expect when you visit us over the coming weeks.

In line with government guidelines our outdoor areas will be open however ALL OUR INDOOR AREAS WILL BE CLOSED AND FOOD IS TAKEAWAY ONLY.





We are open for the Easter school holiday - Monday 12 - Sunday 18 April 10am - 5.30pm

From Monday 19 April our temporary opening hours are: Weekdays: 11am -3.30pm and Weekends: 10am - 5.30pm



To ensure we can all observe safe social distancing, there will be restrictions on the number of visitors allowed at the park each day. 



To allow us to review visitor capacities and work in line with the changing regulations, tickets can only be booked in advance at this time.  We will need everyone to book online prior to their visit, including annual pass holders and rainy day return ticket holders.

Because we anticipate ongoing changes to restrictions, we will release dates in blocks so please check back if the date you wish to book is not showing as available just yet.

All bookings, excluding annual pass holders and rainy day return tickets, will be subject to a booking fee, per person.

IMPORTANT:  Please find a link to further information you will need to consider before making a booking in order to follow the correct government guidelines

If the park cannot open due to a full lockdown, you may change the date of your visit for another date within the next 12 months. Please contact us at with the date you would like to change it to.

All animal feed bundles, otter feeding fish pots and VIP lemur feeding experiences must be booked online in advance whilst booking your admission tickets and are limited/subject to availability.

Lottie's Festive Afternoon Tea Picnic Boxes, Children's Picnic Boxes and Pizza Specials are also available to book online as part of your booking or can be booked later here (notice periods apply) httpss://

Please note, once booked tickets cannot be transferred or refunded.

If you are unable to visit due to having to self-isolate, please contact us 24 hours in advance of the day of your visit to enable us to transfer your ticket.

Rainy Day Return Visit tickets must be booked online and are valid for 3 months from the date of issued and cannot be extended. You must have attended the park on the day of your booking to receive a Rainy day ticket. Rainy day tickets are only valid once for the number of adults/children listed on the ticket, any additional members attending are required to pay the full entrance price. Please keep your stamped return ticket safe as we cannot replace if lost or stolen. We will only except original stamped tickets, photos or photocopies will not be accepted. You will need to present and redeem  your rainy day ticket at the admission kiosk. Anyone without a valid stamped return ticket will be refused entry to the park.

If you are in receipt of a free Family Explorer pass, which you may have won or were issued with by us, this cannot be booked online, please email in advance with the date you would like to attend and preferred arrival time.

We regret we are unable to accept any other promotional vouchers, discounts or offers at this time.



A limited number of tickets will be made available for our members each day. The percentage of tickets will be based on our average number of member visits recorded during that same period. Members must still book online to allow us to maintain our maximum number of visitors per day.

If you have a TBH Gift Voucher or YAG Gift Voucher, please check the booking site for availability and email with the date you would like to attend and preferred arrival time.

IMPORTANT: We value your continued support and will  automatically be extending all valid memberships and gift vouchers to cover the lockdown closures.

As the exact extension time has been fluid, members may have received a expiry notification in the meantime. If you would like us to check the status of your membership and expected expiry date for you, please contact thank you.



We have introduced arrival times to help alleviate queues and maintain social distancing. Each visit will be for a duration of three hours maximum with no re-admission. You will be asked to select an arrival time when making your booking online*. We ask that you please arrive at your agreed time as we cannot guarantee entry to visitors who arrive outside of their arrival time.

*Please note your arrival time e.g. if your booking is for 11am - 2pm then your arrival time is 11am.



Please park in the marked out bays. Lottie's car park is for disabled parking only.



 All outdoor areas of the park are free flowing. In line with government guidance, all indoor areas, including the butterfly house, indoor activity centre and cafes, are currently closed apart from toilets and the Jungle Gift shop which is also the exit route from the park.

Lottie's Coffee Lounge will be serving takeaway drinks and food and the Big Red Bus at weekends (subject to weather conditions).

Please wear a face covering in these areas unless you are exempt.



Whilst visiting us we kindly ask you to respect everyone's safety and adhere to social distancing rules. There are lots of signs around the park to remind you.

Please wash and sanitise your hands at regular intervals using the washing facilities around the park. We have intensified our daily cleaning procedures. Our staff will be wearing face coverings to ensure that they and visitors are protected whilst onsite. Toilets will be open at the Indoor Activity Centre and Outdoor Play Park.



Must be worn in all indoor areas including toilets, our Jungle Gift Shop and whilst queuing for food and drinks unless you are exempt. Thank you for your cooperation.



Animal feed bundles (£3*), otter feeding fish pots (£3) and VIP Lemur feeding experiences (£20 for up to 6 people in your group) can be purchased online when booking. 

 *Animal feed bundles have been temporarily reduced to £4 as we are unable to offer lorikeet feeding at the moment. Includes a pot of live mealworms, a bag of grass nuts, a vegetable pot and a bag of poultry food.

During the current circumstances and for the foreseeable future we cannot operate our tractor ride, bird shows, animal encounters, talks and experiences. We are following government and BIAZA guidelines and we will update you with any changes in the near future.

The great news is  our outdoor Realms of Camelot play parks are open for you to enjoy. Please wash and sanitise your hands before and after play and maintain social distancing. 



We are currently rescheduling existing VIP animal experiences. If your experience was postponed due to lockdown or you have booked an upcoming experience or have a gift voucher to book an experience, please be assured these will be extended for you and we hope to resume and make them available for booking again soon.  We are pleased to offer a new VIP lemur feeding experience. This must be booked online when purchasing your admission tickets and you must book the correct session within your 3 hour slot. Places are very limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The experience costs £20 for a group of up to 6 family members and last for 15 minutes apx. Facemasks must be worn, please see our booking site for full terms and conditions.



We kindly remind our customers about the latest UK government guidelines

Lottie's Coffee Lounge will be serving takeaway hot drinks and food and you may visit Lottie's during, before or after you visit (so outside of your 3 hour visit timeslot if you wish). The Big Red Bus will also be open at weekends (subject to weather conditions) serving takeaway serve hot drinks and snacks. Contactless payments are preferred. The Butterfly Cafe remains closed for the time being.

Please help us to recover after this period of closure by leaving your sandwiches at home and treating yourself to one of our tasty festive picnic boxes. Choose from afternoon tea for two and children's boxes. Picnic boxes can be pre-booked online as part of your visit, up until 4pm on the day before your visit. Forgot to add one? In line with government guidance, face coverings will need to be worn at Lottie's and the Big Red Bus whilst queuing to order food or drinks unless you are exempt. Please bring your own face covering, thank you.



The Jungle Gift Shop remains open and is also the exit from the park. Only two families at any one time, please maintain social distancing and only pick up what you intend to buy. Contactless payments are preferred. The wearing of face masks in shops is mandatory, please bring your own face covering to wear, thank you.



Please do not travel to visit us if you or any member of your group are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 (or have come into contact with someone has experienced symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days). The Tropical Butterfly House and Lottie's remain the right to refuse entry to anyone who we feel is showing signs of Covid-19.
