Baby Changing
Baby changing facilities are located in our playpark, activity centre and at Lottie’s Coffee Lounge. We also have baby bottle and food heating facilities and breastfeeding is welcome on site.
Accessible Toilets
We have designated, unlocked disabled toilet facilities located in our playpark, activity centre and at Lottie’s Coffee Lounge.
Wheelchair Hire
Wheelchairs can be hired for a returnable deposit of £20, subject to availability. Please book in advance by contacting info@butterflyhouse.co.uk or 01909 569416. Visitors are welcome to bring along their own wheelchair or mobility scooter.
First Aid
Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are able to provide self-administered First Aid for all minor injuries. For any other assistance an Ambulance will be called. Many of our team members are first aid trained and are able to respond rapidly to first aid calls. We have a designated first aid room fully equipped to deal with slips, trips and scrapes! We also have a defibrillator located on site.
Guests with Autism
Sensory Bag Hire
We have sensory bags that can be hired as a part of your visit for children and adults with special sensory needs.These bags provide ways to improve focus, create relaxation and help to ensure everyone can get the most out of their day. It contains: A park map, noise cancelling headphones, fidget toys, binoculars, bug magnifying glass, crayons and a colouring sheet.

Accessibility and Carers
We aim to make your visit as enjoyable and inclusive as possible. All areas of the park are accessible apart from one pond viewing area, accessed by steps, in the Bird House. Wheelchairs are available to hire subject to a deposit and availability. Visitors are welcome to bring along their own wheelchair or mobility scooter. Wheelchairs can also be hired for a deposit of £20, please book in advance by calling 01909 569416.

An official carer will be admitted for half price when accompanying a full paying child or adult (one half price carer ticket per child or adult, normal admission charges apply to any additional carers).
Carers must be included within your booking and should provide ID from Care Home/Employer, Care Allowance Claim Letter, a Metro bus pass for disabled which states ‘Plus One’ or a DWP/DLA/PIP letter that states that you are in receipt of a Carer’s Allowance or the middle or highest rate of Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment.

We aim to make your visit to the Tropical Butterfly House as enjoyable and inclusive as possible. We offer a quality fun and educational experience for people all ages and abilities who are keen to learn more about our animals and wildlife conservation or enjoy a great family day out.
Our friendly team are dedicated to both our animals and visitors and work hard to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and heads home with that ‘butterflymoment’ feeling and memories to treasure.
