PARK INFORMATION

Here's all the important information you’ll need to remember to keep you safe during your visit.
Please familiarise yourself with this and the following information before you arrive to ensure you have the best possible experience.
Rainy Day Pass
Pre-booked tickets only.
Rainy Day return tickets are a goodwill gesture on our part. Should it rain heavily or continuously during your visit, then we may offer you a free return visit. These tickets are issued on the day at the discretion of the manager and are valid for three months from the date of issue. Please use them within this time as we are unable to extend the expiry date.
Rainy Day tickets can only be used once and will be retrieved on your return visit. If you lose or misplace your stamped ticket, or it is stolen, we cannot issue another and you will not be able to use the free return visit.
Rainy Day tickets are only valid for the number of adults/children listed on the ticket, any additional members attending are required to pay the full entrance price.
We will only accept original stamped tickets, photos or photocopies will not be accepted.
You will need to present & return your rainy-day ticket at the admission kiosk.
Anyone without a valid stamped return ticket will be refused entry to the park.
Free Car Parking
We are delighted to offer free parking whilst visiting. Accessible parking is located at the entrance of the park / Lottie’s Coffee Lounge.
We can accommodate both minibus and coach parking, please notify us of your requirements in advance.
Accompanied Children
All children under 16 years of age are to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst visiting the park, for the welfare and safety of all.
Play Park
We want children to enjoy our play park. Please read the safety rules for all users.
No Smoking, Vaping or Alcohol Policy
We are a no smoking/vaping park. For the consideration of all, we politely ask visitors who wish to smoke or use electronic cigarettes to do so offsite, thank you for your cooperation. Please note that the consumption of alcohol is not permitted anywhere within the park.
Dogs and Pets
We love animals! Please help us avoid any distress to them by leaving your pets at home. Dogs and pets are not allowed onsite at the park except for registered assistance dogs. Owners of dogs left in cars will be politely asked to return their dog home before returning to the centre if they wish. Please view our Assistance Dog Policy and Map.
We are pleased to say dogs are welcome to enjoy our outside patio at Lottie’s Coffee Lounge where they can enjoy a delicious range of treats, especially made for our four-legged friends!
Lost Property
We all have those days! If you have lost something during your visit, please contact info@butterflyhouse.co.uk and we will be happy to check for you. Lost property is kept for 28 days, following which any unclaimed items are given to charity organisations. Claimed items must be collected in person or via a pre-paid envelope within 14 days.

Health and Safety
Health and Safety guidelines are provided to all visitors on entry. We kindly ask that these are adhered to for your own safety and that of other visitors, our staff and animals. Click here to view our health and safety information.
Activities
We always try our best to ensure you have a great day out as planned, but sometimes activities may need to be amended or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances – such as animal welfare concerns or adverse weather conditions or for reasons beyond our control.
Allergies
Food Allergy Important Notice
If you have a food allergy, intolerance or special dietary requirement, please inform a member of the cafe / hospitality team and speak to them about the ingredients in our menus before you place your order, thank you.
Our food and drinks are prepared in a busy kitchen and front of house serving area. Please note that we handle all known allergens, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Although we take the utmost care to clean after preparing all foods with known allergens, traces may still be found in our kitchen/preparation areas and transfer to other food and drink products.
Therefore, we CANNOT GUARANTEE that anything ordered is 100% allergen free.
We handle the following known allergens in our kitchen and preparation areas: Peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, cereals containing gluten, sesame seeds, soya, lupin, celery, mustard, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, sulphur dioxide and sulphites.

Animal Feed at the park
Please be aware that due to the nature of the park and the various animal and bird diets, our animal feed may contain nuts, shellfish and other known allergens, traces of which may be found around the park and in some of the animal feed that can be purchased from our shop and kiosk. For those with severe allergies, please ensure you bring any medication you may require. We are happy to provide disposable gloves to anyone who would like them. If you require any further information or have any concerns, please speak to a park manager.
Wild Bees and Wasps
Also, please be aware that from time to time wild bees and wasps make the park their home. Therefore, if you have an allergy to stings, please keep this in mind and be cautious. We do have preventative measures in place around the park.

CCTV and Photography
24 hour CCTV is in operation to monitor the park and you may be featured in photography/videos taken by us, or our associated partners, for marketing and advertising purposes. Please ask to speak to a manager if you have any concerns and see our Privacy Policy for further details.
Permission must be obtained from our management team prior to your arrival for any filming or photography intended for commercial purposes.
Caring for All
We reserve the right to ask a visitor to leave if they are behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner or failing to adhere to our no smoking and alcohol policy or other health and safety guidelines.
As part of our ‘Caring for All’ policy, we will not tolerate any abuse to our staff, animals or other visitors.
Credit and Debit Cards
At the moment card payments are preferred, we accept all major credit and debit cards. There is a minimum card spend of £5.00 and we do not provide a cashback service. There are free cash machines located at nearby shops and the Shell Garage on the A57 in North Anston.
When can we visit and how long can we stay?
We are open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Some years we do have Winter closing days, these will be listed nearer the time.
We have introduced arrival times to help alleviate queues. You will be asked to select an arrival time when making your booking online. We ask that you please arrive at your agreed time as we cannot guarantee entry to visitors who arrive outside of this.
Membership and Gift Vouchers
If you have a great time when visiting why not take out a membership during your visit and we will refund the cost of your admission? This can only be done on the day of your visit.
If you have a Tropical Butterfly House Gift Voucher, please check the booking site for ticket availability and email info@butterflyhouse.co.uk with the date you would like to attend and your preferred arrival time.
